Introducing the Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1, the World’s smallest PLB. Wherever you are at sea or on land, the rescueME PLB provides the reassurance that emergency services can be alerted by the press of a button. The rescueMe PLB1 can be operated with a single hand in even the most challenging situations, and a simple spring loaded flap covers the activation button preventing inadvertent use. It's 30% smaller (typically) by volume when compared to other products that are approved to the same recognized Canadian standards. It easily fits in an inflatable PFD or on a lifejacket. Waterproof to to 15m and supplied with a neoprene flotation pouch. (Note: the PLB1 doesn't float without the supplied pouch being fitted, and the antenna must be pointed skyward.) The rescueME PLB1 features a retractable antenna, 7 Year battery life and a 7 year warranty. Has a high brightness strobe light (>1candela) and a 66 channel GPS receiver. The unique mounting clip and flotation pouch allow you to carry the Ocean Signal rescueME wherever you are, on sea or on land. The Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1, like all true EPIRBS and PLB's works with the Cospas-Sarsat system, the only officially recognised worldwide dedicated Search and Rescue satellite network. Funded by government, there are NO CHARGES to use this service. When activated the rescueME PLB1 will transmit your position and your unique ID to a Rescue Coordination Center via the satellite link. Military rescue services are then promptly notified of your emergency and regularly advised of your current location. *The Ocean Signal rescueME PLB1 must be registered by the owner with the Canadian Beacon Registry. Register on-line or by post with the paper registration form enclosed.
